Blizzard?!?!

 HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
I am so thankful for warm houses, my children, and especially the man in my life who always sticks by my side--no matter how happy or crabby I am!  I Love You Sam!!!!

Yesterday everything shut down because there was a blizzard coming!  We didn't have school anyway this week so the kids started playing in it as soon as it started coming down.  By afternoon it looked like above.  We had a foot and a half of snow in our backyard!!  It was so beautiful, now hopefully we can  make it out for Thanksgiving!

Girl's Weekend

Last weekend me and some girlfriends headed up to Idaho City for a weekend away!  We stayed in a cabin for two nights and did absolutely nothing!!!  I guess we did do a few things but for moms it was basically doing nothing--was was awesome!! We played lots of games, watched old 90's movies (like Dirty Dancing, Where the Heart Is, Deceived, and I can't remember the rest),
ate tons of great food, had fun drinks like scotch and sodas, pina coladas (all virgin of course!),
sat by the fire and looked at the beautiful scenery, stayed up late talking,
took random pictures of each other,
 painted our toenails,
and fingernails and had lots of fun!

Does this kid come from our family?

This is what I found the other day when I walked into the living room.  Who would guess that we love to read in our family?

Making Applesauce

The kids had last Friday off from school so Sam decided to take the day off too.  Since I had so many helpers, we made applesauce.  It actually was a lot of fun to do it together (even though Sam looks drugged in the picture).  The kids were great helpers, especially the girls.  They stayed with us to the very end.

The boys were our cleaners.  Luke loved it, so much water and so little to clean!

Family Night

The kids have been begging us to go to "Hop 2 It" so for family night last week we headed over.  We played for an hour and a half and had a great time.  Sam and I were completely worn out by the time we were done, so much jumping and chasing kids really wears out these "old people"!
Here are some pictures from our fun night!

Pumpkin Carving

These are a little late.....oh well you still get to see them :)!
We have seemed to be busier than we have ever been this fall so it took us till the day before Halloween to actually carve our pumpkins, but we finally got them done.

The girls made a tombstone and did a really good job cleaning it out.  The boys carved a knife and a trident--that was Seth's idea, all Luke wanted was eyes and was very sad when he couldn't convince Seth to add them to the pumpkin.  Sam carved "ALLRED", his candidate of choice for the election--silly boy!

Happy Halloween

We hope that you all had a fabulous Halloween.  We got to dress up 3 times and by Saturday night we were pooped out!  But we had lots of fun.  It started with a ward party on Friday with a carnival and a family dance which was loads of fun.  Then Saturday afternoon we went to our schools "Fall Frolic" and then Saturday night we ended with a trunk or treat.  The kids had stomachaches by this morning but we turned in our candy for $ and now no more tempting treats laying around!!
