Shoshone Falls

Last Saturday was a great day.

We had lots of fun.  We rode our bikes to the gym and then went for a swim.  Sam bought a surprise (more on that later) and we went for a hike in the canyon.
The water is running at a all time high and is just absolutely gorgeous.
 Pretty sweet, huh?

I kinda went crazy with the camera but it's so fun to take pictures when they turn out so well.
The kids thought it was pretty cool to look over the ledge.

Then I decided since it was so beautiful outside that I should take some fun shots of the kids.

I loved this.  I turned around and the boys were sitting like this.

"BORED!"  they said.

And my most favorite one of all.  I love these guys!

Bugz: The Musical

Sarah had her play last week.

They were all bugs that were on their way to a picnic.
 Sarah was a Gypsy Moth.

Her good friend Sarah (yep they both have the same first name and both have last names that start with B.  In class they go by Sarah B and Sarah Jewel) was a Monarch Butterfly.
 Dancing with their sunglasses.
Before the play started she was a little nervous but she did great.

Said her one line perfectly and I of course didn't have the camera ready so I missed it but it was awesome.
Sarah and her sharing a laugh.
She was watching her flashlight on the ceiling.  They were singing a song about Fireflys and using flashlights to mimic their lights.  It was very cool.

My New Cake Stands

I found some amazing homemade cake stands online and have been dying to have some.

I decided to get my friend to make me some and I loved how they turned out!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!
Plus I got to show them off at a baby shower that I was hired to make cupcakes for.
Thanks for letting me brag!

Planting the Garden

Last week was absolutely beautiful here.

We spent many, many hours outside soaking up the sun.

We also weeded, mowed lawns, planted some flowers, and got some of our garden in the ground.

Perfect timing too because it has rained everyday since then.
Luke couldn't stay away from the water.  He's attracted to water like a bear to honey.
He "helping" the water.
While Sam and I got the ground ready the girls pulled weeds.  Seth "tried" to help but conviently found many other things to occupy his time.  Things like rocks, dirt clods, and grass.
Afterwards they decided it was time to swing.  Ahhh...what a beautiful spring day!

"Moosical"

This cute girl got to be in a "Moosical" last week.

The whole first grade was a character from the farm.
They got to sing 4 songs.
Kathryn was a "Pig #3" and had one speaking line.  She did a fantastic job.
When it was the song about their animal they got to dance.  The pigs song was about how clean and tidy they were, so they dusted, swept, and mopped.

She had all the moves down and sang great.  She even got to sit by one of her best buddies.

Such cute girls!

Mother's Day

How was your Mother's Day?

Mine was so fabulous!!

Because I got an early Mother's Day present (my camera) I told Sam what I really wanted was a day of relaxation and doing whatever I felt like doing.

Since we are done with church at 11am that leaves a lot in the day to do.

Sarah, Kathryn, and Luke did my hair.
Isn't that awesome.  Here's a close-up.
Then we played some games from the Friend, ate a fabulous dinner that Sam made all by himself.
We also played board games,
went on a walk, I got to read the newspaper while I drank my pop (heaven huh Tara?), write in my journal, take a nap, and eat some amazing Lime Cheesecake that Sam also made by himself.  So delicious!
I hope that you all had a wonderful day too.  I love being a mom and I love that my own mom was such a good example.  What a blessing our children are and I am so glad that I got to have 4 of them!

Babysitting

Last week we had the privilege of watching our friends 4 kids for 4 days.

It works out perfectly because their kids are almost exactly our kids age and they go in the same order; boy, girl, girl, boy.

My kids were in heaven having a playmate everyday.  One of the days was so nice outside.  So we took our homework and went to enjoy the sunshine.

Above Sarah is helping Makayla with her math so they could get done faster and read their books to each other (girls after my own heart :)
 Kathryn and Maddi reading.
Seth working on his.  Logan was inside practicing his violin--which worked out great also because they are both taking lessons.
Luke and Braedon got to run around, play, and just enjoy the beautiful weather.

I took pictures and read my book--ahhh Spring, I love it!
I couldn't resist sharing these pictures:
