It's Here!!

It's finally here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (wow that's a lot of exclamation points, but that's how I feel :) Luke got his cast off (took pictures but camera is not with me so...later on that one) and we are almost moved in. We got everything but the big stuff, the house is almost completely empty, but the best part is....................I have amazing friends! Heidi watched the kids for me all day today, Tara helped me pack up the rest of the house this morning and is helping me clean tomorrow, Aubrey helped me put away all the whole kitchen and let me use the most awesome boxes, Kristen brought me lunch from Cafe Rio (and brought me a Diet Coke) and helped unpack the kitchen, Jennifer fed us dinner and watched the kids for several hours tonight so we could unpack more, Nicole is watching the kids in the morning while we move the big stuff, and Inger is coming to help clean too. I am so blessed!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks so much to everyone, you are awesome and I owe you big time!!!

New House

Just thought we would share what we are so excited about. This is the front of the house. It has 5 bedrooms and 3 baths (hallelujah no more standing in line!!!!) and has been completely remodeled. Everything from insulating and sheet rocking the garage to new fixtures to a new kitchen. They have done everything. They repainted the house inside and out, put new doors on, new toilets and vanities, new carpet, stained the deck and painted the fence. Anyway, we love it.

This is the brand new kitchen. They put in new appliances also.

This is what you see when you come in the front door. He took off the old lava rock and put stacked rock on with a nice mantle.

We have a bathroom in our room!!!!! I cannot tell you how happy that makes me. I am so sick on dressing in the bathroom, thank you very much!

The downstairs family room.

When I first saw this room I almost cried (the realtor thought I was a little nutty I'm sure). I love storage rooms. This house has a huge laundry/storage room, there are even built in shelves with lots of room for more.

This is the back. It has a wonderful deck and he is even putting a fire pit in, come on over and we will roast marshmellows!!

Funny things...

First some things Kathryn and Seth have said:
Seth" I barely have any fat left on my leg since the bike ride last night and I use to have tons."

Kathryn: "Mom watch my blood push my spit to my mouth so I can blow bubbles."
Mom: "Did you know blood doesn't do that?"
Kathryn: "Well my body is different."

Since most of you have never met Isaiah, one of the things he does is ask questions, and not just one, he asks them over and over again. Sometimes I think he is curious, but most of the time he just asks them for the sake of asking them. I decided to write down questions he asks us, and I even left out ones that are legitimate. By the way these all happened between 8:30am to 1pm.
1. Where is sissy going to sit?
2. Why are you boy trapped?
3. How is sissy going to get off the top bunk?
4. Are we going to be done when sissy gets up?
5. Did Sam already eat?
6. What's cold?
7. When is my little sister going to be up?
8. Am I girl trapped?
9. What makes french toast?
10. What are you drawing?
11. What are you writing?
12. When is me and sissy going to my grandmas? (this after I had told him 3 times already)
13. Who's playing with this dragon?
14. Why is his name T-Bone?
15. Is that blanket for Luke? (as Luke is laying on it)
16. What is Luke saying?
17. Why is lunch by the rock?
18. Where are they doing lunch?
19. Why are they not doing it over there?
20. Why are they going over there?
21. What are you coloring?
22. Why are you coloring?
23. Why are you coloring the money green?
24. Who's in supermode?
25. Who's in mode?
26. Where do you get stuff?
27. Why did you say sweet?
28. Who's holding the money up?
29. Is that money fake?
30. Why do you have to color?
31. Are you going to color the rest?
32. Is that color yellow? (?'s 21-32 were all asked in a 3 min. period)
33. Who's that?
34. Who's he?
35. Who are they?
36. Is that a transformer?

Finally I just quit, I couldn't keep up with the questions. Hope you enjoyed it!

Ward Campout/Family Outing

Last weekend was our ward campout. We went out to Oakley, which is southeast of us, to a church campground there. It was so beautiful and we had such a great time. Here are some of our adventures from Friday and Saturday.

Luke helping me set up camp, Sam had to work so he didn't get there until Friday night, so the kids and I hiked all of stuff into camp (it was down in a ravine, with all the parking at the top), boy did we get our exercise.

Kathryn pounding in pegs.

This is one of the bridges you have to cross to get into to camp. There were two streams flowing through camp, the kids were in heaven (much to the parent's consternation).

Seth hanging out with his friend Joseph.

Luke helping Sam take down the tent.

The hottest man in camp!!

Sarah climbing the stairs. There was a lodge and indoor bathrooms/showers, but then there were campsites all over, so everyone tented it. The kids thought it was great, mom and dad not so much.

A guy in the ward brought up his "rhino" and would give the kids rides. Do you think Seth likes this girl? (oh no, how could you tell? he calls her his "arch enemy").

Luke playing on the floor with his friend Luke (yes they have the same name). They were having belly races. It was so cute to watch.

After the campout, us and two other families went into Oakley to go the local pool. We had never been there. It is an old pioneer town with a population of just under 300. Everybody drives around on their four-wheelers and there is only one stop sign in town. It was fun to see. Above is Will, Seth, Sarah, Tessa, Mallory and Kathryn.

Seth drying off.

Sarah and Kathryn swimming. We decided since we were that far out we should go to the City of Rocks. We hadn't ever been there before either. It is a very cool place. You are just driving along and then, WHAM, massive rock formations all over. The pictures do not do them justice.

"Bread Loaf"

This is what Luke did the whole time in the car. He loved looking at everything.

Our geologist friend told us of a place to let the kids get out and get some quartz rocks so here they are with some of the rocks they found.

Hiking up the mountain to find the rocks.

Afterwards we went through even more old, tiny pioneer towns (Elba, Albion, Almo) and then stopped for dinner in Declo. We had a wonderful time and was so fun to get out with the kids.

Happy Birthday Seth!

Can you believe we have a 9 year old? He was so excited all day long and couldn't wait for dinner or his party. We had a family party this year so when Dad got home from work we had Seth's favorite dinner, Hawaiian Haystacks. We then had our family home evening and got ready for his birthday. We were trying to find things to do till dark because we were going to light off the rest of our fireworks for his birthday. He is like any normal boy and loves the pyro that gets to come out at the 4th of July. Anyway, here are some pictures of his special day...

Blowing out candles in his oreo icecream cake,

holding up some of his presents (pictures from Sarah and Kathryn, card from Grandpa and Grandma McIntyre, walkie talkies from mom and dad and yugi-oh cards from Sarah, Kathryn and Luke)

Some things about Seth...
1. He still loves to read. He knows more about things than me and his dad just from reading so much.
2. He remembers everything, which is not good sometimes but comes in very handy for school.
3. He loves to build things. He is always creating amazing ships and cars out of his legos.
4. He has an awesome imagination, coming up with new Pokemon and Yugi-oh characters.
5. He is a great big brother and loves to entertain Luke with his creations and stories.
What he wants to be when he grows up? lawyer, violinist and composer, astronaut and scientist. (You go buddy, we love you so much!!!)

Happy 4th!!

We started the day by going to Buhl's Sagebrush days for the parade. We have never been to any of the 4th of July parades so this was a first for the kids. It was a really good parade, Luke even loved everything. We went to the parade with friends (minus Seth because he got to spend the weekend at Grandpa and Grandma McIntyre's house).

Sarah and Kathryn posing for a picture.

Mr. Beus and Luke enjoying the parade.

There were a ton of horses and Sarah was so excited. Every time they came by all she could do was stare. She was so excited.

More horses.

The three kiddos hanging out.
.
After the parade we came home and got ready for a party with friends. We made two yummy desserts, coconut cream pie and...

the best chocolate sheet cake ever (with powdered sugar stars).

We spent the night friends eating good food, playing games, talking and watching the CSI fireworks. Here is Kathryn with her friend Maddie playing water-balloon volleyball.

Sarah with her friend Makayla.

We spent a wonderful day together especially pondering the freedoms we have and how blessed we are. We thank our Heavenly Father that we live in this country and are able to worship and celebrate as we choose. We hope that you had a wonderful 4th!

Venting and Journaling

**WARNING**
(contains adult content, j/k but might not want to read)
I figured I better write down some feelings and thoughts about this time in my life so when I want to take 2 foster kids again, have a child break his leg and be in a body cast, have a husband in a demanding calling, buy and sell a house, I might want to rethink it. Things are better today and seem to get a little better each day. Last weekend was rough, to say the least. I was ready to give up and be done. I felt like I was failing miserably at these tests. I know the Lord is testing me and my family and it wasn't going well. In my parent's ward their high councilor talked about enjoying the journey, man I sure was (and am) having a hard time with that. That made me feel even worse about everything, I knew I needed to do better. Last Sunday was the worst. I had a terrible day (you know those days when you know you just need to make up your mind and get happy and get over it because it's a choice but thats the last thing you want to do and you just want to sulk and be grumpy, anyway it was that kind of day). Thank heavens for an amazing husband. I was having such a hard time with Luke and he just told me to go enjoy my family and he would deal with him for the rest of the day. He did it. What an amazing man!!! We talked all the way home about what was going on and we needed to do. Then we prayed really hard (and any time I think about it all day long) and went to bed.
I was worried about Monday. Lexi and Isaiah were coming back and they seem to have a harder day on the day they come back. But thank heavens for friends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tara asked if she could come hang out and I said, "heck yes!" so they came over after lunch and we let the kids play and we just talked and talked. Then Erika showed up around 3 and we made the kids stay in the front or backyard and we just talked and talked some more. What great therapy that is. I felt so much better on Monday it was ridiculous. Thanks so much guys (I guess really gals). Yesterday I took the kids to Dierkes with Tara and Erika and their kids and got some more energy out. Today we kept busy too. Thanks Kristen for watching the kids.
It's amazing what each day makes and thanks so much to my Heavenly Father for helping me. It needs more work, but one day at a time and I hope I can keep this perspective.

McIntyre Family Reunion

Last weekend we went to Caldwell for the McIntyre Reunion, my dad with all his sisters and brother. It started on Friday. We went to the dinner and dance that night. The kids had a great time. Sarah and Katy danced together almost the whole time. It was so cute to watch them have such a great time.

Jessica dancing with Luke.

Seth with his two favorite 2nd cousins, Tanner and Colton. I tried to get him to dance with me but he would have non of that. Silly boy.

Sarah dancing with her daddy.

On Saturday we went to the Stake Center for service projects, food, talking, food, games, an auction, food and swimming. We brought the kid's scooters and they loved having such a big area to ride in (I geuss Sam did too).

Emily hanging out with Luke.

Seth got a dragonology book from Tanner. He couldn't leave it alone and absolutely loves it. Sarah is enjoying it with him while they wait for cousins to arrive.

The three newest babies in the family. Jill with Heston, Brad with Bridon and Jenny with Ryan.

Kathryn, Bentley and Katy trying to blow bubbles. They got these from the fish pond and were so thrilled they played with them constantly.

Most of the cousins. Sarah holding Ryan, Kathryn, Bentley, Seth holding Luke and Katy. Bridon and Heston were sleeping. Grandma and Aunt Natalie made them all matching shirts. They were so cute.

Sunday we hung out with Grandpa and Grandma. Good thing I waited for a couple days to write this because if you would of asked me Sunday about Luke, I was ready to sell him. All he could do was cry and yell at us. No matter what we tried, that's all he did. He cried and yelled so much that he is still hoarse today. Anyway...here is Kathryn blowing bubbles with Katy. This kept them occupied for hours.

Kathryn trying to help Luke blow bubbles, one of his rare happy moments.
