Halloween Carnival

Last Friday was our ward Halloween carnival. We had a great time, but unfortunatly these are the only pictures we got since I was in charge of the whole thing and Sam was doing the "fish pond". We all dressed up and here is Sam, what a studly clown he is :)

And here is the kids. Seth was a Dracula, Sarah was a gymnast, Kathryn was a ballerina and Luke was a duck. What cute kids!!

down some more

13
so it is down some more, but (don't panic anyone) my doctor is still pretty worried about it. It is going down, but it shouldn't be taking this long. I visit with him next Monday to see what he thinks might be the reason. We are praying that it is just fine, just being slow for some reason!!

Playing in the Leaves

Boy do they have fun in the leaves. For several days they have just played and played in the leaves. It's been so fun to watch them play together and have such a good time!

I love these kids!!!

Pumpkin Carving

We carved pumpkins for our last family night. We had a great time except the kids didn't think scooping out all the seeds were too great but they hung in there with us.

Luke thought it was so awesome. He just kept smiling and laughing the whole time.

Just some more smiling pictures :)

We decided to go for a family theme and it worked okay. The pumpkins are suppose to say "BOO", but Sam got tired of punching the holes in it so he brought out his drill and did the holes. The problem is that you can't even see the lights in the "o's". Oh well next year we know better!

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the local pumpkin patch the other day and had a total blast. They have tons of activities for the kids. A slid from the top of a tower into a maze...

a rope bridge...

rides on a 4-wheeler train...

and lots of cute places to take pictures. Here is Sarah and Kathryn with two of their bestest friends, Makayla and Maddi.

Luke was feeling really left out of the pictures so here he is too :)

Sarah and Makayla again.

Oh and don't forget the rope swing. Kathryn had a great time on it!

Huh?!?

Can anyone guess what is all over this little boy's face? Well when he woke up this morning I picked him up out of his bed and he was holding a pen. I didn't think much of it until I actually looked at his face and this was what I found. He got put to bed with a pen and I guess he had lots of fun with it :)

Down, down, down

Snow...............in October?????

We woke up last Saturday morning with snow everywhere. I can't remember the last time we had snow in October. For heaven sakes, we still have all the leaves on our trees. Hence one of the pictures below. The kids were so excited to see snow they dug out all their winter gear and played outside for an hour. They had a blast and absolutely loved it!

Seth says he looks like an Inuet (is that how you spell it?) and not an eskimo, just so you know :)

Luke laughing at the snowflakes landing on him.

My poor tomato plants. They have so many tomatoes on them that I covered them from the frost, but then it snowed. I hope they survive.

Here is one of the trees. The leaves are even still green. Only in Idaho does it snow one week and then be in the sixties the next. We are just weird here, I guess!

Harvest

I never keep a record of the things I can so this year I thought I would put it on my blog so I don't lose it. This year was definitely a great harvest. Our garden did awesome, as a matter of fact I still have about 75 tomatoes on my plants and that's after canning a ton for us and giving away the last 2 pickings. Anyway, the above picture is apple pie filling I did today and so far this is what I have done:
Applesauce: 48 quarts
Apple pie filling: 12 quarts
Peaches: 36 quarts
Pears: 11 quarts
Whole tomatoes: 42 quarts
Salsa: 23 pints
Spaghetti sauce: 20 quarts
Pizza sauce: 10 pints
Sweet-n-Sour sauce: 7 quarts
Pickles: 6 quarts
Cherries: 7 quarts
Beets: 20 pints
Wow! I am glad to be almost done. I love seeing everything go into jars and looking so pretty. Enjoy the harvest :)

Happy Birthday Sarah!

Sarah turned 6 yrs old on October 1st. She was so excited that she could hardly stand herself for weeks and kept asking and asking when her birthday was going to be. This year we had it the day before because we were driving down to Grandpa and Grandma's the next day. She wanted it to be a "hello kitty" party and have a couple of her close friends over. Here she is waiting for her friends to get here. I convinced them to play candy land and the time would go by faster :)

Sarah wanted to her party to be so simple and that was great with me. She wanted to have spaghetti for dinner and oreo ice cream cake for dessert. For games she just wanted to play with sidewalk chalk and do finger paints. Here she is with her cake, yum!

This is her friends that came, Makayla, Audrey and Felicia.

We would of gotten more pictures but we were trying to videotape it as well and after the party I realized I had only taken a few pictures. Way to go, mom!! Anyway, here are a few of Sarah's favorite things:
Food: Spaghetti
Color: light purple
Movie: Horseland
Thing to do: play with horses
Treat: Rice Krispie treats (I didn't know that..)
What she wants to be when she grows up: cowgirl
Some interesting things about Sarah: She loves animals. She can always be found playing with our cats or our dog and she loves to play pretend animals. When her friends come over or with Kathryn she is always playing horses or dogs or cats. She makes quite the real noises too. She still is in love with horses. Right now she is saving her money so she can (in this order mind you) build a barn, buy a truck, buy a trailer, buy horse feed and then buy a horse (we told her to go for it :). She also got her ears pierced after coercing her dad that it was a good thing to do (I didn't help at all). She also is loving school. She loves to learn, especially about animals and she is such a good sister to Kathryn and Luke. We love you Sarah!

YEAH!

So I visited my doctor yesterday for my follow-up appt. and everything went really well. My doctor is in a practice of 5 other docs and 3 PAs and let me just say what a blessings it was that he was the one on call when I went in. He has the most experience with molar pregnancies (he actually did his residency in Indiana at a hospital where they sent women with out of control molar pregnancies--thank heavens that I am not in that category) and he has been the one I had seen the most with Luke. He gave us a lot more information and then I had to get my blood drawn for my hCG and a thyroid check plus a chest x-ray to make sure the cells haven't moved anywhere. They called this morning and everything looks good, but best of all my levels are down to 219. So on to another test next Monday and hopefully down even further.

hCG levels

So forget what I said previously about hCG levels. One of the websites I read was not so right. There is a huge variety in what is normal so...oh well. The pathology report though said it was definitely a molar pregnancy though. Since this is my form of journaling I am going to be posting my levels every week so I can remember and keep track. I got my numbers back today and as of last Thursday, Sept. 25th, they were 56, 675. I go in on Monday for my next one. Thanks again everyone for your prayers, we appreciate it so much!
