FHE

For family night we do our lessons out of Preach My Gospel.  The kids get to pick their own topic and prepare it.  This last week it was Luke's turn.  Kathryn really wanted to help him so they picked out the topic of "learning english".  She helped him read how if you don't speak english then you need to practice and only speak with your companion in that language

(as a side note at this point--Sam and I are trying to not laugh out loud.  we can't even look at each other because they were both so serious about it)

After this we drew missionary name tags while Kathryn read us the story she wrote that went along with the lesson.  This is how it went word for word:
To The Rescue
One day Luke and Bobby were ridding thier bikes to got to teach Rachel.  When they were driving to Rachel's house.  Then they saw Rachel crying on her lawn.  So Luke asked her what's wrong and Rachel said someone stole her child.  So Bobby said lets look for your child!  So they looked all around town!  They found an abidid (I think it's suppose to be abandoned) house so they looked in it they found Rachel's child wrapped up in rope.  So they unwrapped her.  Then two guys went up behind them.  Then the two guys notice the name tags.  Then Luke and Bobby asked why they stole Rachel's child and the two guys said to have a happier life.  Then Luke said "You don't have to steal a child to be happier."  Then Bobby asked how money do you have.  We have $90.99.  Then you could adopt twins at the adoption center.  We could!  So they gave back Rachel's child so they went to the adoption center.  Rachel, Rachel's kid, Luke and Bobby helped pick out twins for the two guys.  Then Rachel said you don't have to teach me and my child we learned to not steal stuff when it's not yours.

Oh where do I even start with it.  Sam and I had tears rolling down our cheeks from not laughing.  It was so cute and she was so proud of it but oh my that was a keeper!!

Weird Weather!!

I looked out the front window and this is what I saw the other day.

Luke said that he was watching the neighbors play.

The funny thing is that yesterday we played outside all day in capri's and flip flops and today we are huddled in the house with jackets and it's snowing outside.

Such weird weather!!

But while it's nice we love it.  Yesterday we got an apple tree planted, lots of games played in the sun, and even a picnic in the canyon for fhe where we roasted starbursts.  Kathryn thought that was the greatest thing ever!

Ahhh, spring must be close!
