Summer

We are 6 days away from leaving for Girls Camp and doing surprisingly well.  The only problem is that I don't have much time for the regular duties.

I have been trying to do at least a few fun things with the kids.  One night we made banana pops, which the kids loved (probably because they were dipped in all sorts of yummy goodness). We have also tried to go to the park a few times and play in the water, which they always love.

 See my garden in the background, it's finally growing which is good because it doesn't get a lot of attention from me right now!

And this boy loves Tom.  It's so cute to watch them together!

 See that cute thing up there, that represents me getting out voted 5 to 1.  Ever since the girls played with the other kitty (see previous posts), Sam and them have been all about us getting a kitty.

You see the problem is that kitties grow up to be cats.  If they could always stay kitties I might like them, but they don't.  Just like I like puppies but then they grow up to be dogs and eeewww!

But you see I am the only one that thinks that way around here and so far it's worked out.  But when Grandma found this cute one, "Tom", it was no going back for everyone else.

 He actually is an outside cat because I absolutely drew the line on that.  He is very, very playful and I have never met a kitty that has such a personality.  And the best part is, the kids coughed up all the money to buy him everything he needed to live here.  I might add quite happily because they know I wouldn't pay for it.

So now we have another pet, that thankfully is very good so far, and who everyone adores.  So here's to Tom, the kitty, and me not losing my mind!! :)
