I have record the conversations we've been having lately. They are the best!!
Luke: I can't wait till you leave tonight.
Me: Why?
L: Because then the boys get to sleep on the trampoline and I haven't done that since last year.
Me: Glad you are excited.
L: Yeah we are going to stay up till 10 or 11 or maybe even 1!!!
Me: Well I hope you guys take a picture for me.
L: We won't.
Me: Oh ok. Why not?
L: Because we are boys. Only girls take pictures. Boys only take pictures when there is something cool like an explosion.
Me: Really!?
L: Yep and boys don't take selfies either. Except Seth. He does and he's not very good at them.
Oh my!!
Here's another one.
L: I'm so glad I'm a boy.
Me: Really? Why?
L: Well the number 1 reason is because girls have babies.
Me: (trying so hard to keep a straight face) Ok.
L: And I can't really think of anything I don't like about being a boy.
Me: Oh good because you aren't going to be able to change that.
several minutes later...
L: I thought of one thing that is not so good about being a boy.
Me: Ok what is it?
L: Girls are so good at looking.
Me: Looking?
L: Yeah boys can't find things like paper plates and then girls look and they are right there!
This kid!! Another one.
L: I'm so glad that Seth didn't tell me what movie he is watching downstairs because if I would of known my bum would of been glued to the couch and I wouldn't be able to come back up.
Ok last one. We were outside doing our daily weed pulling and he was not liking it very much. After convincing him it wasn't too bad we had this conversation.
L: Mom you know what I imagine when I am pulling weeds?
Me: Nope what?
L: Every weed is a weed family and they are scared but I am pulling 3/4 of them up. I leave a 1/4 of the root so they can hide at the bottom and not die.
Me: Oh thats interesting.
L: The really hard ones to pull out are weed stations. That's why they are so much harder to pull up. I leave a quarter of them too so they can re-build.
