First Day of School

Traditional first day of school breakfast: Crepes.
By the way, he's making that face on purpose. Such a teenager!
They were all very excited to go. Luke was a little nervous staying a whole day but he did awesome. Still can't believe all my kids are in school all day long now. So crazy!!
 Luke--1st grade with Mrs. Crider
 Kathryn--4th grade with Mrs. Robbins
Sarah--5th grade with Mrs. Baird and Mrs. Bizik
Seth--8th grade (an almost high schooler--what happened!)
So grateful for such great kids and for such a great school they go to!

Labor Day Weekend--part 2

Monday we took off for a different part of the canyon and went on a longer hike.
Luke and Seth were sure not impressed but hey we had a fabulous time.
Takin' a break at one of the climbing spots. Brian and Jessica are big rock climbers so we showed them spots where lots of people go.
 Walking back.
We were sure hot when we got back so we changed into our swimming stuff, ate our picnic, and headed out to the water to cool off.

Sarah and Kathryn decided that they were going to get their brave on and jump off the cliffs there. They are not super huge but massive to these girls so we all decided to join them.
 Brian.
 Jessica.
 Sam.
 Kathryn.
 Me.
 Seth.
Sarah.
This dude hung out on the dock and just watched us. He did decided that he was brave enough to jump into the water to Brian. Such a cute boy!
What a fun weekend we had. Thanks Brian and Jessica for coming :)

Labor Day Weekend

We were so excited to stay around this weekend and have visitors come to our house.
YEAH!!!
This cute couple come up for the weekend and boy were we excited. They were so fun to have around plus they were to great to do whatever. They helped us clean the church on Saturday morning and even helped us move our friends into their new house. They even helped me can Salsa that afternoon. It was awesome to have helpers!!

Saturday night we went on a double date while the kids had a movie night. We introduced them to the best place to eat shakes and had a great time visiting.
We even went toilet papering together. It was hilarious. The next morning we woke up to this in our front yard--I think we did a better job at their place!!
Sunday afternoon we went down to explore the canyon. We went on a little hike behind a really cool waterfall.
Luke gets a little timid but did a great job.
Can you tell that that boys a teenager!!??

 Looking over the canyon.
We then went and hung out on the dock and dangled our feet in the water. The river was icy cold but it felt awesome.
Then it was a little more play time before we headed back home to eat fresh peach pie and play games. So fun!!

The Shoemaker--a play

A cute girl in our ward wrote a play this summer. She invited several kids to be in it. Sarah was "the shoemaker's wife" and Kathryn was "an orphan".
They practiced all summer and then performed for a large group of people. It was so cute and all the kids did a great job.
Kathryn was also in charge of the curtain.
 The Shoemaker and his wife.

Taking a bow. Good job Sarah and Kathryn!!
