Weekend Vacation--Part 1

See this beautiful picture? The kids had two days off school last week so Sam took the days off too and we headed to Southern Utah. After a quick night in Sandy we headed to Cannonville, UT. Ever heard of it? Us either till his sister moved there. It is in the middle of Bryce Canyon (which we were hoping to see but couldn't because of the government shutdown--bummer!!)
The kids were so excited to see their cousins. We love hanging out with family!! They have a huge red rock formation across the street from their house so we climbed that,
man is it pretty up there,
played at the city park, including a steal sticks game,
 ate delicious food, played games,
 talked and talked and talked,
 had a movie night,
and held our new cousin Annalyn a whole bunch.

Since Bryce Canyon was closed one afternoon we went to Kodachrome State Park where we did lots of hiking,
 posing,
 climbing rocks,
 having lots of fun,
and looking at cool geographical formations.
What a great time we had--thanks Katie and Fred for hosting us!
