Our New Acquisitionsand Other Random Stuff

Okay so we have 2 new things at our house. One I absolutely love and the other one is tolerated by me and loved by everyone else. Can you tell what the first one is from the picture below?

No it's not the tire that is our sandbox, but the fence in the background. Our yard was never fenced from the house to the fences on the sides. After I caught Luke in the road twice, with me even being with him outside and a car having to stop for him once, we decided it was about time. I absolutely love it. It has a gate on one side, is vinyl so I never have to stain it and keeps the kids all locked in the backyard.

And the second acquisition is Ozzie. He is our new dog. He is a friend's dog from the ward. She is very allergic to dogs and needed to get rid of him so guess who got him. US! Like I said, I am so not thrilled about it, but the kids love him and so does Sam. He came with 2 conditions, he will never come in my house and I will NEVER, NEVER pick up his poop (I don't think that's too unreasonable :). So far the conditions have been met (all 4 days of it).

I just had to put in a picture of my garden. I love working out there and so far it is doing well. We have had terrible winds the past couple days, so hopefully it's not too wind-burned when the storm passes. On the far right is two rows of potatoes, then cabbage, beets, lettuce, carrots, dill, zuchinni, peppers and tomatoes. The cucumbers, gourds and pumpkins are in a different part of the yard.

Luke loves to help me cook and I though this picture was so cute. He actually warmed up to my mom last weekend and would let her hold him (which he hasn't done in a long time) all because she was making something in the Bosch and he wanted to help. Now he lets her hold him all the time, just because she let him help her with what she was cooking. What a funny boy!

Awesome tractor tire, I bet the kids love that. I am also jealous of your garden, maybe some day I will be able to have one of my own! (in the real ground, not just pots that the birds eat) And the dog is kind of cute, but no thanks for me either. Enjoy the warm weather this weekend!

We have the same dog rules. The kids have sure enjoyed her though.

I'm jealous of your fence. We have one, but it's a 30 year old chain link that is falling apart, and if dog ever pushed hard enough she could probably get out.Thank goodness she's mellow. Brynli's figured out how to get in and out, so I'm sure a new one will be in the works soon. (hopefully)

Your garden is amazing. We haven't stopped freezing yet, I have a few tattered and beaten plants that I hope will make it. We shall see. As for the dog, you sound like Kevin, he just tolerates the dog for my sake. (But secretly he likes and appreciates him)
