Girls Trip

I am one lucky girl.  I have the best sisters and mom in the world.  This year Jenny and I bombed the younger girls trip to Salt Lake and made it into an all out Girls Trip.

And what fun we had.  My mom picked me up on Wednesday morning and we met everyone else there.  We got to stay at the new City Creek Hotel.  After checking in, Emily, Natalie, my mom and I headed to Gardner Village (the rest of the ladies were coming in that night).
It was so nice and relaxing.  No kids and no agenda.  We wandered the fabric store and found some super cute things, looked through all the shops, visited with total strangers,
and got some delicious frozen hot chocolate (and don't ask me why I do weird things in pictures--my sisters are constantly laughing about it, but I try to look normal and it goes weird :).
And no trip would be complete without lots of these.  It's a family thing (except for Jenny, he, he, he!)
The next day we hit up the new City Creek Mall.  And wow!!  It was amazing to look through all the stores (so many that have never even been heard of in Idaho) and get some new things (that's what I asked for for my birthday--$ to go shopping in SLC).
We even walked around like dumb tourists for awhile taking pictures of random objects and tried to get tickets to "Wicked" but they only had 3--dang it!
See--told you about the picture thing.  We rode Trax because we knew our kids would love it when we told them about it,
and we ate out every night.  Pretty much Mexican every time. Not kidding.
We were also celebrating Nat's 18th birthday.  This was one of her cakes--so delicious but the mom and me were so good and didn't even have one bite!!
Friday we spent the day in Lagoon.  After a dramamine and a 5-hour energy (so I wouldn't sleep) I thought "sweet!!  I can ride some rides."  Big fat NO!  After the 3rd roller-coaster I was a mess.  I was so nauseous I could barely get off the roller-coaster because I was going to puke.  I was so white and yucky feeling, it was no more for me that day.

We hit up Lagoon-a-Beach and got stuck on almost all the slides.  I guess that's what happens when you become an adult.  Then it was off to more rides (and just watching for this lady).  We had a great time and enjoyed being little kids again.
Saturday morning we visited the Oquirrh Mtn Temple so the younger girls could do baptisms and us older three could do some initiatory.  I had never been to that temple before and it was so neat to watch all the brides come out while we were waiting.  Reminded me so much of our wedding day :).
And this one because we always have to be silly.
Oh how I am so grateful for these ladies!!
