The week before Thanksgiving Sarah and Kathryn decided that they wanted to try out for Missoula's Rapunzel play that was in town. Last year they tried out but didn't make it but with some awesome coaching from Aunt Natalie, they were ready to try out again.
They both got parts and were over the moon about it. Kathryn was Corn #1 and Sarah was Ogre #3. This meant for a very long week of practicing, but hey, way better than months of it
For the weekend, my sister Emily came to stay with us and see the play and Sam's sister Jessica came also. It was so fun to have them all with us.
We played lots of games, and I mean a lot of games. We tried to evade Seth's farting as much as we could and even wrestled, well at least the boys couldn't leave each other alone!
Love hanging out with the sisters.
Luke really hard to learn how to be better at losing with us playing games all the times. Sometimes he is just not quite happy about it but he sure is learning!!
And whenever Emily or Jenny are around, this is mandatory!! They are amazing at it and I love having it done for me (but that is Natalie up there, not me, haha...)
When Kathryn had a free night that week, her and Luke decided they wanted to make chocolate chip cookies. They made the entire batch all by themselves, even baking them. They turned out fantastic. I was so proud of them.
Saturday was the big day. We went to the evening show and loved it. It was so funny and well done. We thoroughly loved watching the girls up there. That is all the cast above.
Small group shot--corns, potato, and ogres.
Silly group shot.
Kathryn and fellow corn was a lot of the comic relief in the play. She was awesome at delivering her lines and timing them just right to make them hilarious.
Sarah was in charge of the mushrooms. They would sing to them to make them grow and she did great on it.
Kathryn's good friend Ashley was the potato and they had such a great time being up there together.
The ogres getting in trouble for playing cards instead of watching the mushrooms.
Kathryn bring funny.
Close up faces of their makeup.
All done!! Yeah, so proud of them. They got flowers from their aunts and loved it.
Boy were they exhausted by the time they got home but man did we have a great weekend with everyone and so excited for these girls to do something they love!
