Cruise--Day 2--Catalina Island

When we woke up the morning of our second day we were greeted by a beautiful site.  Catalina Island in the distance.
We were very ready to get off and explore.  This little ferry took us from the ship to the island.  Below Sam and Dusty are enjoying the ride.
Once we got off we rented golf carts so we could see the island.
Everything is built on the one side of the island and all on a hill.  Everyone drives golf carts, we saw everything from a hearse golf cart to a tow truck golf cart.  They were pretty awesome!

We saw some beautiful scenery as we drove around and it was amazing especially because living in Idaho when do you ever see the ocean like this.  I think I could of lived on this island for the rest of my life!

The picture below is an inside joke so no worries anyone!
The one thing we all wanted to do was snorkel.  The weather did not want to cooperate so with a balmy 50 degrees outside and a stiff wind we decided to take a ride in a semi-submersible boat to see the fish.  It was actually was a lot of fun and was quite beautiful to see.
The fish swarming around food.
 The kelp forests.
By late afternoon we headed back to the ship for dinner.  This is the restuarant we ate in every night and all of us waiting for our dinner.  We had quite the conversations around our table and lots of fun!
We celebrated Dusty's birthday Tuesday night and
in honor of Dusty's birthday he decided to have 3, yes that's right, 3 main courses for dinner.
The sad thing is that he didn't even gain any weight!!
Afterwards we headed over to see a "family friendly" comedian (very important) and then it was off to some pretty sweet disco dancing and Sam's amazing sprinkler--no picture, dang it!
